At Open ELMS, we value your privacy and provide you with full control over your personal data. In accordance with global privacy regulations, including GDPR, we offer a straightforward process for users to request the permanent deletion of their accounts and associated data.
How to Delete Your Account
To delete your account and all associated personal information, please follow these steps:

Visit the Portal: Navigate to the Open ELMS Education Login Page.

Log In: Sign in using your standard username and password, or via your linked Google or Apple ID.

Access Settings: Once logged in, navigate to your User Profile/Account Settings section.

Request Deletion: Select the “Delete Account” option.

Confirm: You will be asked to confirm your choice. Once confirmed, the deletion process will be initiated immediately.
Data Retention and Deletion Policy
When you choose to delete your account, Open ELMS follows strict protocols regarding what information is removed and what may be temporarily retained.

| System Logs | Anonymized | Technical logs are stripped of all identifying markers for security auditing |
Retention Periods

Immediate Deletion: Most personal data is removed from our active databases immediately upon confirmation.

Backup Archives: For system integrity, data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being completely purged.

Legal Exceptions: We only retain specific data if required by law (e.g., financial records for tax purposes) or to comply with specific regulatory audit requirements.
Note: Account deletion is permanent. Once the process is complete, your learning history and access to the platform cannot be recovered.
