How to Delete Your Account

Learning is a journey, and we understand that priorities can shift. If you simply need a break, LearnYak keeps your data secure so your progress is ready when you return. However, if you decide to leave permanently, we strictly honor your right to be forgotten.

To delete your account and all associated personal information, please follow these steps:

1. Open the LearnYak app and navigate to the "Home" menu.
2. Tap "Purchase" and scroll to the bottom of the page.
3. Select the "Delete My Data" button.
4. Confirm your choice by selecting "Yes, Delete Everything". The deletion process begins immediately upon confirmation.

Data Retention and Deletion Policy

When you delete your account, Open eLMS follows strict protocols to ensure your data is handled securely and removed according to our standards.

Personal Information	Permanently Deleted	Name, email address, profile picture, and login credentials.
Third-Party Integrations	Permanently Disconnected	Connections to Google or Apple IDs are revoked immediately.
Learning Progress	Permanently Deleted	Course completion history, scores, and certificates.
System Logs	Anonymized	Technical logs are anonymized for security auditing and system integrity.

Retention Periods

• Immediate Deletion: Personal data is removed from active databases upon confirmation.
• Backup Archives: Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days to ensure system integrity before being purged.
• Legal Exceptions: Specific data is retained only when required by law (e.g., financial records) or for regulatory compliance.
