Group 7 (Halogens)

Group 7 elements, commonly known as the halogens, are a family of highly reactive non-metals found in the second-to-last column of the Periodic Table. These elements include fluorine (F), chlorine (Cl), bromine (Br), iodine (I), and astatine (At). Halogens are characterized by having seven electrons in their outermost shell, making them eager to gain one electron to achieve a stable octet.
