You will learn to define, identify, and classify incidents by severity and impact through initial triage. The course covers executing formal escalation procedures, including functional and hierarchical methods, and engaging Security Operations Centres. Crucially, it details meeting UK statutory reporting requirements to bodies like the ICO and NCSC, in line with UK GDPR and NIS Regulations. You will also master documenting incidents for forensic integrity, maintaining incident logs, and understanding chain of custody for effective post-incident review, ensuring decisive action and regulatory compliance.
