This course helps you master the essential Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) cycle of observation, assessment, and planning. You will learn to apply diverse methods for capturing meaningful observations of child development, from snapshots to narrative tracking. Understand how to move from formative assessment to the EYFS Profile and the Two-Year-Old Progress Check. Develop skills in creating effective long, medium, and short-term learning plans, including in-the-moment planning, to design impactful experiences. Crucially, you will learn to use assessment data to support individual needs, including SEND, and ensure compliance, empowering your early years practice.
