This Safe Moving & Handling course is designed for professionals in UK adult social care settings. You will master essential skills to protect yourself and those you support, ensuring safe manual handling practices. The course covers applying UK moving and handling legislation and conducting effective TILEO risk assessments. You will learn to safely use various equipment, including hoists, slings, and small aids, while always maintaining dignity through person-centred care and the 6 Cs. We also explore principles of biomechanics, ergonomics, and self-care, enabling you to recognise and avoid unsafe techniques for bed mobility, repositioning, and assisting to stand, promoting a safer working environment for everyone.
